Both our lovely ponies, who leased out to gain "life experiance" before returning to the stud as broodmares, have continued to do very well in the Lead Rein classes.
Willow Park China Blue won Champion Lead Rein at Marlborough A&P Show, Reserve Champion Lead Rein and also Best Welsh Exhibit and Champion Led Adult Pony at Nelson A&P Show (South Island)
And Lancewoods Coppers Delight winning Champion Lead Rein Pony at Waikato Royal (North Island) .
Lancewoods Coppers Delight won Best Welsh Lead Rein and the PBSNZ sash at Matamata A&P Show
Willow Park China Blue had another successful show at Nelson H&P Show winning Reserve Champion Lead Pony
Lancewoods Coppers Delight won champion lead rein pony at Hawkes Bay A&P, her second show since being broken in.
Willow Park China Blue had her first outing under saddle at Marshlands PC Mini Show. She won Champion Lead Rein Pony with her new little rider, Josh Livingstone of Nelson.
Gillyflower had a lovely colt foal. Very easy birth and both are up and about this morning
9th September 2011
Lancewoods Coppers Delight had her first show under saddle with her new wee rider, Georgie Wilson. Together with Lisa Wilson, handler, they won Best Presented Lead Rein Pony, Best Pony up to 128cm, Best rider 6 & 7 yrs and were 5th in Best Combination. Well done to you all, not bad for a pony who has only been broken in for a month and a combination who has only had a couple of weeks to get to know each other.

Gillyflower is looking very heavy in foal and I've noticed a slight change in her udder. Not long now and we will ahve our first foal for the season
9th August 2011
Our lovely old broodmare, Gillyflower is now heavy in foal and due next month. We are so excited about this foal as we haven't been able to get her back in foal since she had Lancewoods Copper Delight (Pinch)four years ago! Our other two broodmares, Ballymoon and Taratanui Tatiana are also in foal and due in another months time. All mares are in foal to our Colt, Windsor Jack Sparrow and these foals will be his first on the ground, so very exciting.
Pinch is now being schooled after being broken in and will then head down to Taupo and join Lancewoods Moonlight and the Wilson Family. Really looking forward to seeing our first "babies" coming out under saddle this season.
Lancewoods Trick Question will start being broken in next week and then shown Inhand for her last year as a Youngstock. She will be for sale during this time.
Willow Park China Blue has been leased to the Livingstone Family in Nelson and has already been out under saddle in the Lead Rein ring winning Reserve Champion.

We had a fabulous time over at the North All Breed and NI Welsh Pony and Cob Foal shows. What a lovely venue, bigger entries this year which is great. Some truely lovely foals there as well. We love stay for the weekend and catching up with friends. Both our foals behaved really well and our stud won both the Stallion Progeny (Brookfields Toy Boy) and Breeders Pair, which was wonderful.
10th April 2011
Well it has been sometime since we have updated out news page! What a great finish to the season with Lancewoods Sweet Story winning Champion Partbred Youngstock at HOY.
22nd November 2010
With regret, we have to sell some of our lovely ponies as we can't keep them all. The first we are putting up for sale is Lancewoods Trick Question (Greenlee Casanova x Ballymoon). Twist is registered with both PBNZ and Welsh Society. She is a partbred welsh and has just been measured at 126cm, so will stay under 128 for lead rein. She has been shown in hand last season and this season for many ribbons. She is good to do anything with, clipping, feet, washing, and trucking. Twist is 2years old and we have just started teaching her to lunge, which she is enjoying. Twist is ready to go to a new showing home and can be shown as a youngstock until she turns 4 in August 2012.
